Sporting a stout defense that held Kutztown's ground attack to just 39 rushing yards and 126 yards of total offense, the 2010 Bicentenial League runners-up looked prime for a repeat as they quickly built a 28-0 halftime lead. Kutztown held Calvary scoreless in the third quarter as it tried to mount a comeback, but the Cougars from the City of Brotherly Love sealed the win with 7:27 left in the fourth quarter. Fullback Zachary Caldwell shook three tackles enroute to a 30-yard touchdown run for a 35-0 lead, enacting the mercy rule. Senior Kutztown quarterback Patrick Wise completed 8-of-20 passes for 76 yards in the loss. Kutztown looks for its first win of the season when it hosts Pequea Valley next Friday in a 7 p.m. kickoff. - Tyler Parmer
